Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Common Transponders

IFF Common Transponder equipment meets the current military and civil air traffic control requirements.

AN/APX-117 IFF Transponder equipment supports communication in Mode 1, 2, 3/A, C and Mod S modes.
 
AN/APX-118 IFF Transponder equipment supports communication in Mode 1, 2, 3/A, C, Mode 4 with embedded crypto and Mod S modes.
 
AN/APX-123 IFF Transponder equipment supports communication in Mode 1, 2, 3/A, C, S, 4 and Mode 5 modes, with an embedded Mode 4/5 crypto.
